What is Wirekite
Wirekite is a highly performant, cross database, extract, load and replication platform. To break down the definition wirekite is- Performant- We pride ourselves in being extremely fast. Please visit our extract and load benchmarks and replication benchmarks.
Wirekite is 10x-100x faster than its competitors.
- Cross Database- Wirekite allows you to move data from Oracle, PostgreSQL, YugaByte, TigerData, AlloyDB, MySQL, MariaDB, SingleStore, SQL Server, Google Cloud Spanner (CDC only), and Apache Cassandra (Target Sync only) to multiple cloud and on-premise databases. Supported targets include MySQL, MariaDB, SingleStore, PostgreSQL, YugaByte, TigerData, AlloyDB, Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Firebolt, Google BigQuery, Google Cloud Spanner, Databricks, and MongoDB. See the full source, target, and queue matrix for every supported engine and the modes it supports.
- Extract, Load- Wirekite to allows you to extract and load data from source databases to targets. Part of any data migration - whether one time or ongoing - involves taking an initial extract of data and moving it to the target. Wirekite prides itself in moving copious amounts of data in much shorter time frames than other technologies.
Petabyte Scale
Wirekite can migrate tables with billions of rows within minutes.
- Replication- In addition to moving large data, wirekite allows you to keep the data on the target fresh from the source. This helps enormously with doing an application switch over from source to target while affording relatively small downtime.
- Target Sync- Wirekite can also reconcile an already-populated target back to its source in a single pass - diffing the two databases and applying only the differences, with no CDC required. This is ideal for repairing drift, backfilling a target, or a one-shot migration where continuous replication isn’t available. See Target Sync.
Use Cases
There can be a multitude of reasons that data needs to be moved from one databases platform to another. But the most common reasons are the following- Migration of application and or database from one platform to another.
- Permanent pipelines from one database to another typically from an OLTP database to a Data Warehouse or Analytics database.
